Our eyes are one of the most beneficial sense organs in the body. These delicate organs help us to visualise the beauty in our surroundings. So, why do we need to cover them up with dull spectacles, especially if there is no optical complication involved? The fact is that there are a lot of dust particles and impurities that can go into our eyes, affecting your vision on a permanent basis. Damage to the eye(s) can prevent you from exploring the world further and may even cause other health problems. As a result, it is clear that our eyes need more protection than any other part of our body. For this reason alone, many people employ non-prescription glasses as a safety measure. Nevertheless, one can raise a finger towards the use of such glasses.
It is true that styling has always been the primary reason for people using non-powered eyeglasses. One cannot deny the fact that these types of eyewear can provide a sort of personality enhancement unmatched by any other accessory. Nevertheless, these glasses serve another important purpose. They prevent the minute of impurities that tends to enter your eyes. Even a tiny speck of dust particle on the eyeball can cause immense pain. Moreover, they can be quite difficult to get rid of. As such, non-prescription glasses provide complete covering over the eye, preventing minute particles from going in.
It is fairly common that when a person gets old, it becomes difficult for him/her to read. This acuity-oriented problem is in direct association with the aging muscles in the eye. As a result, those things that are near to us become quite difficult to scrutinize. This can be observed especially in the case of avid readers who have to go through text all the time. Moreover, if you wear reading glasses with prescription all the time, it can be a cause of concern, as you will need to shift focus from one part of the lens to another on a frequent basis. The best way of dealing with it is to use non-prescription glasses that come with a certain degree of power. Such glasses help in magnifying letters and words that may seem minute to the naked eye. This way, one can also rectify problems with bifocal reading.
Many doctors believe that problems with eyesight can affect the level of sugar in blood. As a result, kids are encountering the problem of short sightedness from an early age. This complication prevents them from studying properly in the classrooms. By using contact lenses with a negative power and then covering them up with thin eyeglasses, one can do a world of good for his eyesight. In addition, these glasses have a direct impact on one's health. Unlike sunglasses, they can be worn for a longer period. Big eyegear makers like Oakley and G&G are offering good discounts on many of their products both, through third party stores and online sale. Some of the best deals and choices in non prescription glasses can be found online. Visit the eyewear section of sites like Amazon or eBay and you could buy some neat looking spectacles and sunglasses for as low as $5.50!

Tips to Protect Your Hair From the Summer Sun
With the start of summer, we find that everyone is keen on protecting their skin from the sun harmful rays by creams containing high protection factor, but everyone forgets to protect their hair, the impact of the sun harmful rays to the hair is not less than their impact on the skin.
There are some tips to protect the hair from the harmful effect of UV rays, so you can always keep your hair healthy and attractive.
Sun on the shores of the sea causes breakage of the ends of the hair, which is not going to be limited to the ends only, but it might extend to the entire hair which leads to a brittle easily breaking hair.
-Tips to protect your hair:
1- Avoid dying and coloring:
Avoid the dye in the summer months, especially prior to holiday and travel to the beach of the sea and swimming pools. The dye color changes due to the sea salt and the chlorine in the swimming pools. The dye makes the hair more vulnerable to the sun, and if you want to use the dye before the holiday you should do that ten days before traveling to the sea.
2 - Nutrition:
Nutritional supplements such as vitamin (B 12) and vitamin (A) and yeast are very useful for the health of the hair. You should also eat foods rich in protein such as chicken and nuts.
3 - Use products that offer protection and nourishment:
The sun does not only harm the locks of hair and change their color, but it also affects the scalp similarly. You should replace your regular products with those that provide protection from the sun ultraviolet radiation.
4 - Avoid the sun:
You should avoid the sun as much as possible in the period between ten in the morning and three in the afternoon, and if there is a need to go out at this period you should wear a hat with edges that obscure the sun form the whole face and hair.
5 - Cut the hair ends:
With the start of the summer, cut your hair ends to get rid of any breaking hairs because at the summer season hair becomes drier than any other time of the year. You should also nourish your hair with hydrating creams and conditioners that are suitable for your hair type. Remember not to overburden your hair by using lots of products.

Are Permanent Hair Extensions Worth It?
What are permanent hair extensions?
Permanent hair extensions are blocks of actual human hair that are added in with your natural hair to create the illusion of more hair or fuller hair. Many people who have thin hair use this method to increase the volume of hair, while creating a natural look with extensions.
These extensions are created with real human hair, so it is entirely possible to color it to a desired shade to match your own hair, as well as to style it and wash it as you normally would with your own hair. Permanent hair extensions generally last about three to six months with proper care and maintenance. The extensions are attached with an application process called bonding where several pieces of hair is attached with a protein bond or a special glue.
There are two methods of bonding, i.e, hot fusion or cold fusion. Hot fusion utilizes glue or keratin protein and attaches the extensions using a heating tool. Cold fusion attaches the extension with keratin bonds and does not use heat.
Permanent extensions can be fairly expensive, on average they cost anywhere from $700 to over $1,000.00. If you decide to have extensions attached, you have to care for them properly to ensure that they last. Improper care can cause the bonds to weaken and to come loose from the natural hair.
It is important to keep in mind that the more money you spend on the extensions, the longer they will last, in addition to the better quality you will receive. It can take over three hours to properly "install" the extensions by a certified professional stylist.
Another consideration is that your hair and scalp should be relatively healthy before you try to attach hair extensions. One way to determine if your hair can support the weight is by conducting a simple strand test. If you pull on a single strand of hair and it comes out very easily, your hair will probably not be able to support hair extensions.

How Can Going to a Spa Help You?
Everyone loves to go to spas these days. It is due to the amount of indulgence that they provide to a person. One of such advanced treatments is microdermabrasion. It can ensure that a person gets rid of the layer of dead skin cells stored on his face, hands and chest. If you want to have the best treatment, you should book the most advanced skin care professional for it. The price of such treatments is high, so it is necessary that you should devote some time in finding the best parlor for yourself. A single treatment costs someone about 100 to 150 dollars. This treatment also has many advantages, so without the right skin care person, you cannot even expect to get the right results.
The multiple advantages are microdermabrasion is that it can provide you with a glowing skin without any blemishes. It can also reduce the occurrence of wrinkles and pores on the face. This is because hi-fi skin care products are introduced into your skin through this technology, which ensures that your collagen growth is encouraged through it. This procedure involves using sprays of aluminum dioxide on the skin. This substance is a very strong material that just explodes the accumulated layer of dead skin cells. Although this treatment is not at all painful, it can cause problem when the spray is used on the area around the nose and the mouth. The skin care specialist then removes the debris of the corundum powder used for exploding the dead skin layer.
Before getting treatment under this procedure from a Spa Beverly Hills, make sure that the person who is going to do it has enough experience for the job. Also, make sure that the aluminum dioxide is carefully taken off. After getting the treatment, do not get out in the sun. This is because you are no longer protected from the harmful UV rays of the skin through dead skin cells, which have been eliminated by the treatment. So, do not venture out of the house without using a suntan after getting this treatment. When you have spent so much on the process, why not spend some more for maintaining its impact.

Dangers of Botox
Medically speaking, botulism is a disease, but Botox, the brand name of the commonly used aesthetic intervention, is a neuro-toxin made from from the same bacterium, clostridium botulinum. Botox injections are effective at removing creases we associate with the elderly process but should not be considered a permanent solution as they require repeat treatments. The most common Botox cosmetic treatments are those that remove the creases around the forehead region. Considering how straightforward the procedure is the outcomes are impressive leading to a much more youthful look for the recipient as the furrows related with age are reduced. Results after Botox shots can be seen within a couple of days so furrows close to the eyes, mouth and forehead are visibly reduced. Compared too many aesthetic interventions this one is fairly simple and is impressive how the temporary removal of facial lines improves the youthful appearance of the recipient. It obviously depends on the number of areas to be addressed but the whole Botox intervention usually under 15 minutes.
Botox injections work because Botox it is a neuro-toxin that paralyses the muscles it is injected into usually close to the eyes and forehead for example, so that most of the movement in them is frozen. Because the Botox cosmetic treatments are not permanent and work by only temporarily paralyzing muscles, repeat Botox treatments are oftentimes needed, in fact multiple interventions are recommended for optimal outcomes. When Botox shots or Botox creams are used, there may be some puffiness and numbness close to the region that was treated, but this is quite normal and the consequences are comparatively short lived.
As luck would have it, there are couple of Botox side effects and despite the fact that a neuro-toxin is used to create the anti-aging effect, it is still a safe treatment. Botox cosmetic interventions relax the muscles when and paralyses them so that the furrows that are usually seen close to the eyes mouth and forehead bit by bit fade away.
For people who suffer with acne, scarring, Botox injections are administered to help alleviate the effects or to help soften old skin. There aren't many celebrities that haven't had a Botox aesthetic intervention to make themselves look more youthful but cosmetic surgery does have other functions and is not just about vanity. As a general rule, men normally choose less-invasive surgeries such as Botox injections, collagen injections, chemical peels and microdermabrasion for instance.
The functions of Botox aren't just limited to cosmetic interventions either as it has other useful medical properties. As such the uses of Botox for the treatment of health conditions includes: cutting down migraine headache effects, extreme perspiration, and to help sufferers with facial muscle spasms. One of the only times when it cannot be used is when a woman is expecting a child or is nursing. The one fault with Botox injections is that the more frequently they are used, the longer the period is before they can be given again as the effect it has is to cause the muscular tissues to atrophy and a greater time is needed for them to recover. Botox aesthetic treatments are now the number one cosmetic procedure in the usa with over a million treatments per annum.

Face Care - Lush Cosmetics Mask of Magnaminty
I am not typical "I love everything Lush" type of girl. I tried to love it, but I found that a lot of the products were either too messy, didn't keep well or just smelled a bit crazy. So for me to recommend a Lush product means that in my opinion it actually does something, or smells amazing and it will not take you 20 mins to enjoy and 30 mins scrubbing micro glitters out of your tub (i.e. some of those damn bath bombs!) There are probably about 10 lush products that I really enjoy and today I am going to talk about one of them: Mask of Magnaminty!
This mask has given me one of the best, deepest, freshest cleanses I have ever received from a mask. It leaves my skin feeling tingly fresh - thanks to all the great mint- and actually quite vibrate looking. When I feel that my skin is starting to look a bit dull I slap this mask on for about 15-20mins wash of and ahh... glowing tingly fresh skin! I am not kidding when I say that my complexion looks better after a few uses. If you have blemishes and irritation and congestion in the skin I think that this mask might be worth a try.
It is quite a thick clay mask with bits in it - chunky bits that if you are not careful it will rub off and make a mess on the bathroom counter. Like most clay masks it takes a bit of work to get off you really have to use a lot of water - so I suggest putting on the mask before you shower and then removing it with a full stream of water from the shower nozzle - sink can be done but I am just sharing with you what I found easiest.
So the down low: The mask is great -but it is strong! if you have sensitive skin and it reddens easily I would maybe say stay away form this product. When it goes on it is soo strong and deep cleaning that it actually tingles quite a bit. I actually like the feeling because I feel that it is really working - but I wouldn't want you to come out looking like a lobster!! The great thing about Lush is they give samples - so if you are unsure about your skin type - or even the mask its self you can get a bit try it and see if it is a great match for you.

I actually like the feeling because I feel that it is really working - but I wouldn't want you to come out looking like a lobster!! The great thing about Lush is they give samples - so if you are unsure about your skin type - or even the mask its self you can get a bit try it and see if it is a great match for you.

Beauty - Its in the Ingredients
People all want cosmetic and skincare products that really work, right? Yet how many people actually look at what is in them or know anything about the ingredients.
It is normal in today's society to believe what we see on the TV and in magazines. Beauty products just like food are a product of the ingredients used to create them. A Michelin star chef uses the finest ingredients and similarly a great cosmetic scientist knows that it's the quality ingredients that make the difference.
Ingredient listing on the labeling of a beauty product is law, however do people really take any notice of it? It is always in small print and most people don't understand the chemical names on there. Ingredients are listed by their 'INCI' names that is a system called the 'International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients', these are often different to the systematic chemical name or from a common name the consumer may recognize. A simple rule that helps to sort of the great from the not so great is where on the list the names you do recognize appear. Quite often the INCI name of natural ingredients is recognizable however this is not always the case. Ingredients are always listed in order of percentage in the product. So the first ingredient you see is in the highest quantity. Often this is water, that's OK! We are made up of 70% water and it is sometimes needed to stabilize the formulation of the product and achieve the desired consistency, it is the carrier.
If you see a natural ingredient before or after the water, chances are you are onto a good product. Science is amazing and without it we wouldn't have the wonderful products we have today. We need the technology to make the advances in the delivery systems. However the best products take their lead from mother nature and harness it into a great delivery system.
Many thousands of products use natural ingredients but it's the quantity used that really makes a difference. By law if a product contains 1% of an ingredient then it is OK to write on the front of the product 'contains x', x being whatever that ingredient is. An example of this would be Tea Tree oil. If there was a body lotion that contained 1% of Tea Tree Oil in its formulation, on the front of the packaging it might say 'contains Tea Tree'. The problem with this is not that it is misleading but that those simple words will influence sales, as the consumer may think the Tea Tree will have some benefits for their skin. The truth being that in such a low percentage the benefit would be non-existent.
There are many regulations over claims made on product labeling so as not to appear misleading, but always remember the product is there to be sold so look at the ingredient listing, it doesn't lie.
As well as taking care to note the position on the ingredient listing of natural ingredients you may want in your beauty product, its also important to note the presence or omission of ingredients which you might not want in your beauty product. I will expand on this in a further post.
I am Louise White and currently work in market research. I will always be brutally honest and tell it like it is! Before market research I was a cosmetic scientist and have now brought the two together with my site http://www.which1works.com. There is so much 'hype' around, I love things that actually work and 'do what they say on the tin'. With my background in beauty and health I am putting together a panel to test products and see if they really work.
